dreams and wake

intermingle

in coded whispers

                                                indecipherable

lives

real, imagined

careen and collide

                                                unmoored

they tumble

trade glances

scatter stories         

                                                incoherent

​images

creased faces

buried secrets

                                                unloosed

I lumber

traipse through memories

chimerical, remembered

                                               dislocated

while

negatives of ancestors

fade.
