I lost myself in the moment and found myself for a lifetime

In May, 1996, as founding host of the Linda Belans show, later renamed The State of Things on public radio, I had the great good fortune to interview the late poet Seamus Heaney (4/4/1939- 8/30,/2013), recipient of the 1995 Nobel Prize in Literature, and Mr. Rogers (3/ 20/1928, - 2/27/2003). They were here as commencement speakers at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University respectively. Mr. Heaney's interview was conducted in Swain Hall on the UNC campus; Mr. Rogers was interviewed in the Field House at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, NC.
